Our Lady of Victories
Church

Possibly this
was one of the churches that was
already standing in the village at the time of the 1575 Dusina
Visitation. It was desecrated in 1659 but in 1724 it was
rebuilt in its present form with a centralized plan and topped
by a dome. Though small it has some fine sculptural
decoration, especially in the apse with its polychrome marble
altar. The sinuously curved pediment on the façade, with the
accompanying elongated finials, seem to point to some
Portuguese inspiration.
